Frequently Asked Questions
What are Guia International's technical support policies?
Every software purchase includes 60 days of free setup and configuration support. Support for suspected software bugs is always free, however long ago you purchased.
After the first 60 days, general questions are still answered at no charge. Time-intensive work — database corruption, database migrations, upgrading older-version databases, and network support — requires a technical support incident. Password, login, and other security-related issues are covered by a security support incident. Email techsupport@workschedules.com if you're not sure which applies.
Are your programs compatible with Windows 11 and Windows 10?
Yes. Scheduling Employees for Windows 4.5 and Employee Scheduling Assistant 2.3 have both passed Microsoft's Certification for Windows 11 and Windows 10. Employee Scheduling Assistant no longer requires administrator rights to run.
When installing, right-click the setup file (.exe) and choose
Run as Administrator, then follow the prompts.
How do I download a free trial?
Every program offers a 30-day free trial. Visit our Trial Versions page, add the trial to your cart, and check out — your balance will be zero. You'll need a registered account to receive the download.
How long can I use a program before I have to buy it?
Each program runs for 30 days before registration is required, and reminds you how many days remain. If you need longer to evaluate, contact us and we can extend it.
Updating to a later version does not affect your existing database.
What is the difference between a "Single copy" and a "Site license"?
A Single copy registration authorizes installation of one program on one computer.
A Site license authorizes installation on an unlimited number of systems at one physical location, individually or across a network. A Site license registration code is also required to use the Network Path function.
Exception: if you carry your own database between home and work, a Single copy registration is sufficient.
I have a Single registration. How do I move schedules between home and work?
A Single registration lets you install the program on both your home and work computers. To work on the same schedules in both places, move the database between them on a USB drive — most database files are under 10 MB.
- On the first computer, choose File → Backup database from the opening screen and save the backup file to your USB drive.
- On the second computer, choose File → Restore database and select that file from the USB drive.
Use the same two steps to bring the schedules back again.
What happens after I register?
You'll receive a registration code by email, which clears all trial-version reminders. The program prompts you to enter and save the code the next time it starts.
If you're upgrading from a Single copy to a Site license, choose Help on the opening screen, then Enter New Registration Code.
Where do I find my registration code?
Sign in and go to My Account → Licenses & Seats. Your registration codes are listed there, along with the number of seats on each license.
If you've forgotten your password, use the Forgot password? link on the sign-in page. For older purchases that don't appear in your account, contact us with the purchaser's name, address, and approximate purchase date, and we'll look the code up for you.
I'm having trouble downloading. What should I do?
Our downloads are .exe installer files. On a workplace network you may need permission
from your network administrator to download and run programs.
My computer crashed. How do I reinstall on a new one?
Sign in and go to My Account → Downloadable products to download your software again. Save the file, extract it, and run the installer.
Then enter your registration code — found under My Account → Licenses & Seats — to unlock the full version.
I had an account on the previous workschedules.com. Do I need to register again?
No. Your account and your full purchase history came across to the new website. Use the Forgot password? link on the sign-in page to set a new password, and your orders and registration codes will be waiting for you.
